The Coin Hoard
Such as it is, starting Jan 2010. Please let me apologize in advance - my camera sucks at close ups and I'm not very good at photographs anyway..the combination of these two things makes for less than satisfactory photo's in some cases.
Someday, when I find the big Sierra Coin Hoard, I'll buy a better camera. Till then, this is as good as it gets.

Gold Country Relics Bin
From Trash to Interesting Trash, the Gold Country Relics Bin contains a variety of relics dug up in the quest for ancient treasures. Relic hunting is much different than coin sleuthing. You need a different set of gear to go into the wild. Your environment is much different and usually includes hard, varied ground, snakes, tall grass, etc. What you see here in these pages was gleaned off of public lands in the gold country. Lots of old or broken ranch stuff, square nails, etc..and sometimes though, some really cool stuff - like bottles, guns, bullets, buckles, badges, tools..take a look and see and know that much of this stuff was in the ground for over 100 years.
The Palace Jewels
Rings & bits of jewelry I have found along the way. There is nothing better than expecting a dime or quarter and discovering a beautiful silver or gold ring ! Silver rings come more readily to the coin hunter using a discriminator, as gold can be in the trash range VDI and sound fuzzy like foil or can shred. To find gold rings, especially thin or small ones, you have to dig a lot of bogus targets. Gold makes you work for it.
Buttons, Tokens & Tins - Oh My!
These are some of my favorite finds. These interesting things pop out of holes and make you wonder how their owner lost them. This is a broad category and will contain pics of lots of interesting lost, then found, trinkets.
Toy Hot Rods
It's the toy hot rod collection. Some of these are just remnants, some are in nice condition. All are fun to find - buried treasure toys !
Treasure Hunting Gear
Here are pics of my metal detectors and gear that I use in the hunt.
